Located at the Hale Hui Kai, a beachfront architectural gem of rare beauty on the edge of Wailea, our 3rd floor condo is literally steps from Keawakapu Beach, rated by Condé-Naste as one of the ten best beaches in the world. Tropical landscaped gardens, impeccably maintained, gently lead you to the ocean’s edge.

Perfectly-situated for swimming, paddle-boarding, kayaking, snorkelling, body-surfing, or beach walks. Likewise for simply soaking up the sun, or reading under a palm tree. One can be as active or quiet as one chooses, according to the mood or need.

We offer a welcoming, peaceful space, which we hope is in keeping with its Pacific Ocean setting. Cleanliness and comfort are paramount. We invite you to breakfast on our private lanai, with its views of the ocean and - appropriately enough – the island of Lana’i.

Up to four persons can be comfortably accommodated. Amenities include high-speed broadband internet, and state-of-the-art central air-conditioning. Stunning Brazilian River Stone granite counter-tops enhance our fully-equipped kitchen.

A swimming pool and rotunda are available to all; as the day draws to a close, guests gather on the beach-side lawn, to ‘blow the sun down’ in the tradition of Hawai’i, conch shells sounding the moment of sunset.

Two excellent ocean-side restaurants are within (flat) walking distance, whilst neighboring Wailea’s 1st class Resorts offer top-rated golf courses, tennis courts, or luxury shopping at the Shops at Wailea.

Relaxing vacation on Maui’s best beach

Apt 301 at Hale Hui Kai is very clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The location on Keawakapu Beach is ideal for all beach activities. The rental manager is very guest oriented with great attention to detail. My family and I enjoyed our stay, and most certainly will come again.


Fantastic condo

Best location in Kihei, with direct access to a fabulous beach which is not common, most other options will have you across the street in a busier part of town. Condo is up to date and very well furnished and decorated. Also very well equipped, a big plus. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic stay

Short 30 sec walk to beach through the condo complex inner gardens. clean condo with A/C. Attentive condo manager Martha. Some construction next door at the hotel for a couple days, but was short lived. Great value for Wailea area. Keawakapu beach is as nice of a beach as exists in Maui. Would stay here again.

Your home on Maui

The whole family enjoyed our stay. We felt right at home and had a lot more space than a hotel would provide. The house is at the beach, which is fantastic.


Comfortable and Relaxing

Our family of four visited in June. This is a very comfortable and well equipped unit and is also an easy drive to grocery stores, restaurants, or anything else one would need. The beach is right outside the building, which we really enjoyed.

Hale Hui Kai (HHK) is a wonderful beachfront property and Unit 301 met our needs perfectly!

Hale Hui Kai is a very well maintained circa 1970's condominium complex located on a wonderful stretch of calm sandy beach. Twelve of us traveled to Maui for a family reunion, renting three units on this property. The property met the needs of young and old. Unit 301 was very clean and exceptionally well appointed! The unit has AC, an in unit washer/dryer, wireless printer, beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella, boogie board, coolers, beach bag, and everything a gourmet cook would need. We didn't want to leave! Unit 301 is a top floor, end unit, furthest from the beach. While we didn't have the best ocean view, we had a nice view. The unit was quite and the lanai felt private. It is located on the the side of the building next to the Day's Inn, but we did not have any problems with noise at night. Martha is a wonderful hostess. A few things to be aware of - as with most waterfront property - sound really carries. Everyone respects the quite time. If you are looking for late night partying on the lanai , this is not your place. Parking is limited to one space per unit. Parking spaces on Maui are very tight. Our large rental cars (van and midsize SUVs) were challenging to park. If possible, I would recommend renting a compact vehicle. It will not only be easier to park and navigate the road to Hana, it will save on fuel.

Book for it's beach access alone!

Besides the beautiful and easily accessible and calm beach, the space itself was fantastic for us. Very clean and comfortable. Boogie boards, beach towels, chairs at your disposal. Martha was a great host and easy to reach and timely if we needed her.

The town of Kihei is really quaint with a lot of yummy and surprisingly affordable food (for HI). And still very close to lovely Wailea.

The property itself is incredibly charming and well maintained. I would happily stay here again.

Affordable Luxury, Perfect Location

Home away from home, this tidy 2 bedroom unit is very well appointed. Right on a perfect beach flanked by multi million dollar homes and thus far less crowded than many of the beaches we visited on Maui. Perfect central location for those that want to explore the many beautiful locations around Maui. Would definitely stay here again!
